A service boundary drawn in week two decides what is cheap and what is impossible in year two. Same for the concurrency model, the error type, and the contract you did not write down. We make those calls deliberately, with your team in the room, and then we implement them.

We work in Rust because ownership, exhaustive matching, and a type system that carries meaning eliminate whole categories of production incident. But the language is a tool, not a religion — we use it where it earns its keep and say so when it does not.
