The Tough
Technology Stack

  1. 05

    TOUGH SHIELDTesting & assurance

Proves the system works — and keeps working when things go wrong.

  2. 04

    TOUGH SIGNALAI & decision support

Models put to work where the answer has to be checkable.

  3. 03

    TOUGH COREServices & integration

The Rust services that do the real work, and the connections between them.

  4. 02

    TOUGH DATAStorage & data models

Where your data lives, how it is structured, and how it moves.

  5. 01

    TOUGH EDGEDevices & hardware

Software that runs on the board, the sensor, and the controller.

Take one product, or take the whole stack. They are built to fit together.
EMBEDDED SYSTEMS

The constraints are the design.

Embedded work has no escape hatch. The memory is what it is, the deadline is real, the power budget is fixed, and the device has to come back up by itself in a place nobody is going to visit.

We treat resource limits, timing, and peripheral behavior as first-class design inputs rather than problems to optimize away later. Platform, toolchain, and verification needs get settled with your team before we scope implementation.

  • Device software

Firmware and device components written for the operating environment and the resources actually available on the board.

  • Hardware & software interfaces

Peripheral and bus interfaces defined with explicit assumptions, timing expectations, and behavior when the other side stops answering.

  • Resource-aware design

Memory, timing, concurrency, and power reasoned about up front, where changing the answer is still cheap.

  • System integration & debugging

Chasing behavior across the hardware/software line and connecting devices to the larger systems that depend on them.

A GOOD FIT FOR

Device software that needs experienced hands, an integration problem that spans hardware and software, or a constrained system that needs a clearer design.

Send the messy version. The half-formed problem, the diagram you’re embarrassed by, the deadline you’re worried about. That’s the useful first email.
